Every July and August the finest musicians head to the serene lake District for a summer festival like no other. From string quartets to jazz and baroque specialists to world music, there’s an incredible selection to choose from. Painting and drawing to musical storytelling featuring penguin and jungle adventures, the festival believe music is for everyone which is why we host a series of fun family-friendly events within the festival for everyone to enjoy.
Join Concerteenies in Barrow Library for a musical relaxation workshop for 0-5s at 11am. Concerteenies will be performing the musical story of ‘Blown Away’ at 12:30pm and 2:30pm.

Meera Maharaj (flutes) and Polly Ives (narrator) perform new music by Paul Rissmann based on the book by Rob Biddulph. Vic Craven’s illustrations bring the book to life on the big screen! With fun actions and songs to join in with and a relaxed and friendly environment, this is a perfect introduction to music, animation and storytelling.
