Polly Ives: Narrator
Daria Phillips: Bassoonist
Join Concerteenies for the musical story of The Duck With No Luck at the Lake District Music Summer Festival.
‘When Dizzy the duck oversleeps and misses the flight South, he knows that he must, somehow, catch his friends up. Unfortunately, Dizzy doesn’t have a good sense of direction. Can anyone help him on his way? Join him as he encounters a mischievous pigeon, a well-meaning parrot, and a hungry vulture… not to mention swampy jungles and a chase into space!’
Narrator Polly Ives, bassoonist Daria Phillips and creative practitioner Ella-May Thornely combine new music, composed by award-winning Paul Rissmann, and digital animations by Victor Craven, with this much-loved children’s book written by Jonathan Long and illustrated by Korky Paul. With songs and actions to join in with and a relaxed and friendly environment, this is a perfect introduction to music, animation and storytelling.
In our musical story, The Duck With No Luck, there are some songs and actions that you can join in with… why not have a sneaky peak here before the day with this brilliant ‘Learn the Songs Film’ from narrator Polly Ives.
Suitable for 3-7 year-olds and their families. Please note there are three performance times on the same day: 11am, 1pm and 2.30pm.
The Duck With No Luck is published by Oxford University Press.
