Musical Stories | The Duck with No Luck | with London Mozart Players orchestra

  • St Johns Upper Norwood 1 Sylvan Road London, England, SE19 2RX United Kingdom (map)

Join Concerteenies and London Mozart Players for the new Musical Story The Duck with No Luck, with an orchestra.

When Dizzy the duck oversleeps and misses the flight South, he knows that he must, somehow, catch his friends up. Unfortunately, Dizzy doesn't have a good sense of direction. Can anyone help him on his way? Join him as he encounters a mischievous pigeon, a well-meaning parrot, and a hungry vulture… not to mention swampy jungles and a chase into space!

With songs and actions to join in with and a relaxed and friendly environment, this is a perfect introduction to music, animation, storytelling and the orchestra.

Expect music, composed by award-winning Paul Rissmann, and digital animations by Victor Craven, plus narration from Polly Ives.
Together they will bring this much-loved children’s book, written by Jonathan Long and illustrated by Korky Pau,l to life.

The Duck With No Luck is published by Oxford University Press.
This piece was commissioned by Concerteenies (2024) thanks to funding from Arts Council England.
Co-created with children and teachers at Barnsley primary schools.
