Concerteenies for Babies

Between March 2024 and March 2025, Concerteenies ran a programme of events in partnership with Sheffield City Council’s Sheffield Family Hubs and Start for Life Neighbourhood Services to provide high quality musical experiences for babies and their parents. The project aimed to establish an important partnership with Sheffield Family Hub Network with the potential to inform a strategic, city-wide approach to promoting the value of music in the early years, particularly to parents from lower socio-economic backgrounds and those with limited access to cultural activity.

Funded by the Creative Communities Fund (part of Sheffield City Council’s Sheffield Culture Showcase), Sarah Nulty ‘Power of Music’ Fund, The Cutlers’ Company Charitable Trust, The Sheffield 1000, The Great North Fund (North Local Area Committee) and Sheffield Family Hub Network.

The full report on the project by Karen Burland (External Consultant) in collaboration with the Concerteenies team is available to view here.
